Attack in London - Parliament

A lot going on personally for me today so I can't really comment at length, but I thought I'd leave this here.

There was a photo early on at twitter, it looked like a guard on a bicycle had been crushed between the vehicle and the gates. Surprising to me the attacker actually got as far as he did, but glad to know they took him out. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-britain-security-photographer-idUSKBN16T1Y5 What reports I'm hearing from friends in the area aren't good..

Unfortunately for the UK their attitude towards Trump since he was elected doesn't help their "imagee" when it comes to alienating muslims. Theresa May's attempt to be Trump's lap dog doesn't make them look much better.

 

Honestly though the people who pull off these attacks, whereever they happen, are not "Mainstream muslims" so his statement isn't necessarily wrong just because an attack has occurred. The population that plans and carries out these sorts of things aren't "Mainstream", and they are alienated until we all accept bow down and accept their worldview (which will never happen). 

 

Also just want to say how glad I am that these crazy people did not have access to guns. Could have been a lot worse. (Yes I'm inviting that discussion a little...)

I think most people are tired of that discussion. Gun supporters will say with or without access they could have gotten the guns and at least if the innocent people had guns they would be able to defend themselves better. Those opposing guns will point out how many more people are killed a year from gun violence and how that is a much higher number than those who die from terror attacks. Wash, rinse, repeat...

And nobody wants to talk about the fact guns kill more than terrorism in America. Keep the ignorance Kool-Aid going.
