Hi everyone! I the petitioner is really nervous. He has an imterview date on the 30th of March. Is it ok to just only bring 1040 instead since I don't have a copy of W2 wayback 2015? Any advice and tips please that would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! Pray for us. Thank you in advance!!!:D

If you can still FedEx or UPS your tax return transcripts to your fiance(e) might be good. You can request for the tax return transcripts from the IRS https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript :)

Types of transcripts available https://www.irs.gov/individuals/tax-return-transcript-types-and-ways-to-order-them

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

If the NVC requested the W2, then yes, you need it. I sent my 2015 1040 but not W2, and I got a checklist saying my wife needed to bring the W2 to the interview or we will experience a delay in visa processing. I'm also sending her with my 2016 information as well.

The CO at the embassy may or may not request for your fiance to hand over the I-134 and the supporting tax documents but he would still need to bring them along :)

I actually just found something on the State Department's website. I hope this helps. This seems to make it very clear.

Mind sharing the link to the page? Would like to read it for my own reference :)

No problem, here is the link. https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/support/i-864-frequently-asked-questions.html

it is under the "Do all financial sponsors have to submit form W2" tab.

My husband does not keep good records of documents so he did not have any of his past tax documents.

I got him an account with IRS and you can print the tax transcipts online immediately instead of waiting for a mailed copy.

I was asked for the tax information at the Embassy in Canada and then I believe it was also attached to the I 134.
