Hi!

Is there a deadline to process the DCF documents after I passed the I-130 form for my family and get the case number?

I am planning to go to the US first after filing the I-130 and look for a job to finance my family's immigration fees.

I hope you can help. Thanks~!

The I-130 will stay approved, just keep in touch with the embassy every 6 month or so to let them know you are still interested.

Hi joanamber, according from the Consular Officer once the I-130 is approved, they are giving a duration of 1 (one) year from the date you received your approval notice.  This means, Medical Examination, Interview with the Consul and providing pertinent documents during the interview must be done within a year.

Please see note before from the letter provided by Consular Officer, Immigrant Branch.

NOTE: FOR IMMIGRANT VISA CASES, YOUR FAILURE TO APPLY FOR IMMIGRANT VISA WITHIN ONE YEAR FROM THE ABOVE DATE MAY RESULT IN THE POSSIBLE TERMINATION OF YOUR APPLICATION UNDER SECTION 203(g) OF THE IMMIGRATION AND NATIONALITY ACT.

Hope this helps.

Our Family

Joshua, a music lover, and Tennessee born guy met Lady Lyn, a Filipina in an online Yahoo Christian Chat while both of them were praising God in a different way.  The latter was bullied by some chatters, and courageous Joshua rescued her like a damsel in distress, that was where a new chapter of life begun with the two of them. Their marriage is blessed in many forms including of rewarding them with a beautiful and joyful baby girl named Abigail Exodus Haltom which named perfectly represents their love and life story as a family.
