Should Pot be Legal?

No. That is not quite it.

People who uses pot don't do their best. Many Americans who do, don't do their best. If you're a pot user, then why don't you earn A's in school? There is no excuse that you cannot earn A's. Pot makes people dumb. For those who used pot in the pass, you must've experienced many times that you must read multiple times to absorb information or had to have people repeat back what they said a few times. I personally do not use pot, but I do know that people who used them tend to have people repeat what was being said.

Overall, it affects everybody's thinking ability. They become less detail orientated, and more laid back. This is the consequence of pot. The effects of being less detail orientated, and laid back is the lack of comprehension from understanding a complex sentence, or the inability to understand abstract thoughts. Hence, shortsightedness.

I am not speculating. I know. They are dumb because they are not scientists or an engineer. And, they don't earn high grades in school. Eventhough they live ordinary life, which anyone would be able to live ordinary anyhow, doesn't mean you have to be a pot user to do so.

If you could give me names, and who then I would believe. I don't see JJ Thompson smoking pot. What about Lisa Randall, Harvard Physicist? Dr. Randall is currently alive. I can't imagine her smoking pot. Hmm....Lets see. Oh. Dr. Alan Hirshfield who contributed books on Michael Faraday. I can't imagine him either. Hmmm....

I wonder if that's true? Well, I know pot restricts blood flow to the brain. Therefore, it shrinks the brain.

legalizing marijuana isnt all about the mental health aspect, hemp could really make a positive impact on many products, so if you are supporting it remaining illegal simply due to smokers, you are only looking at one portion of the debate.

i often think that some scientists HAVE to be smoking pot to either THINK of the things they come up with, or to relax their brains from all the intensive thinking!

As it stands, we will have more morons if pot was legalized. Morons as in ADD, and brain shrinkage.

I know a lot of kids with ADD and they've never smoked pot. Do you have proof that pot causes ADD?

Yes, I'd like to know the answer to that aswell. Did you know that the majority of children with AD(H)D are actually vastly more intelligent than children with out (on average)? No, I expect you didn't. You just label them as delinquents I expect.

peter tosh - I know this because it used to be one of the songs my father (who is as straightlaced as they come and whose record collection contained mostly albums by nat king cole, the inkspots and doris day) used to work out to when I was a kid. It still baffles me.

I have noticed when I watched that show "Intervention" on A&E that a lot of those people said they started off by smoking pot and then went on to bigger drugs....

Now I am not saying that everyone who smokes Pot will start doing heroin etc.. but I think for some people there is the danger of that happening....
