I think that the US should legalize the use of maruwana.....i know that's not how you spell it but you know what i mean. It's no worse than drinkin' and it has less health risks attached to it. Also it would lessen the crime rate 'cause we wouldn't have as many drug dealers.

Having tried the product many years ago, I would say no. Aside from always being hungry, my brain was not running on all 8 cylinders. Not to mention the lethargic condition when you come down.

So it should be illegal because it increased your appetite and made you lethargic?

There are tons of other legal products that have those same symptoms. I know highly refined white rice will do that to me.

I am pretty much torn on this issue. I have pretty much always been for legalisation of pot. But, I do have personal experience of 'Cannabis Psychosis'. It isn't always

just a safe drug....as with anything that disturbs the chemical function of our brains, some deal better than others.

Watching a child be sectioned and hating you is tough...when my son was dx with schizophrenia I was shocked when his blood test proved postive for cannabis use.....he had been seeing psychologists once a month for years for Aspbergers, but 'something' changed and that something was his cannabis use,

a very frightening time for everyone in our household. So yes, I believe pot on the whole is a harmless drug, but let's not forget for some vunerable ppl it isn't so harmless.

Legalized? NO! Decriminalized? Yes...if administered correctly...for personal use only.

Large scale cultivation, distribution, and sale should continue to be illegal and prosecuted.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

was he smoking while on schizophrenia medication? I would say that it would be harmful for him and many other individuals to do any drug at all including alcohol or cough and cold medicine. I wouldn't just out the weed, but I see what you're saying. People should be smart about any drug they take including alcohol.

why? What is the difference between pot and alcohol?

Everyone I know that used it, became lethargic and felt somewhat "cloudy" in their thinking. Tell me about the non-medical benefits?

Well it would jack up the food economy for starters which would decrease unemployment since we'd need a lot more people scoopin' ice cream and sellin' chocolate. :goofy:

Granted, but so what? Is that enough reason to ban something? You may think so. I don't.

As soon as you tell me the non-medical benefits of Doritos and chewing tobacco.

No, the whole idea of 'cannabis psychosis' is that the cannabis use actually tiggers schizophrenia/psychosis in certain vunerable ppl.

I say yes to legalization. It isn't something that I do personally, but when you compare it to alcohol- it causes less problems. You don't really see people who are hign on weed causing bar fights and acting agressive. As long as they have some munchies- they seem quite content.

oh my bad. I thought it was something that happened to people who already have schizophrenia and use pot. So it actually made him into a schizophrenic for life?
