NVC Notice of Missing Items??

Hi all,

I sent my IV and AOS packages together last week.  This morning I received an email saying the following are missing:

***NVC Notice of Missing Item: Please submit Affidavit of Support documents ****

****NVC Notice of Missing Item: Please submit civil documents ****

Is this normal? I put all my AOS documents in one folder, and the IV documents (including immigrant's birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.) in another folder, then sent them together.

Does anyone else have this experience? It seems like they are basically asking for EVERYTHING again.  Is this right?

Any help please.

Thank you,

-Ryan

Hi, I had that happen with my case when I checked the status online, a month after I sent everything in. I had read on here before that if it's not a specific document that they ask you for, that it's not a real check list. I called the NVC right when i saw that and they told me they had received all my documents and that o had to wait for them to review it to see if i had everything I needed. She said their website had been doing that but not to worry unless i got a detailed checklist. You should be okay, but call in just to confirm

Hi MrsEmm,

Thanks for the info! I will give NVC a call in a couple days.  By then my package should have arrived.

Thanks,

-Ryan

yes call them after 3-5 working days, to check whether they received the documents, and ask for the scan date

scan date= is when they get to scan your documents in their systems, basically, on that date will start counting the days/weeks ]

make sure to call them until you get the scan date

good luck
