Hi all, this is directed to Swedish people, whomever has an answer.

I need to change my passport to my married name, however, I am only 17 (I turn 18 in Oct), so our marriage will not be accepted in Sweden...I'm not sure they will accept our marriage certificate either by the time I turn 18, or if we will have to take a trip back to Sweden and get married there again next year.

Is it okay if I send it the tax agency's name request form in the mean time? My green card will be in my married name, so I can get a state ID with my married name, but if we do decide to travel internationally then I need my passport to fit my green card...Which it doesn't. So should I just send it the name request form in the mean time?

Second, have any of you done the moving abroad form? I completely forgot to send that in, and I was wondering if that's necessary (which I would think it'd be)?

Thanks in advance :-)

I'm from mexico, so I dont know if the situation is similar... In my case my passport name is tge maiden name and my green card and driver license is under my married name.. What i did was renew my passport adding a married name but still have to use my maiden name which is the name on my birth certificate and it have to match in Mexico documents...

I had never have a problem because getting to Mexico or traveling to Mexico need the passport under my maiden name and just getting into the US require my green card and they never said anything about them not matching

I love you Charles forever!!

Oh, okay, thanks. Well I never hyphenated my name, so I am no longer under my maiden-name, so I will need to have my passport changed because my old last name isn't longer valid.
