I never said I disliked life in the USA. I dislike life in a small town yes, but I would hate living in a small town in Canada too.

Oh, and it's COMPARE.

yes, most of us were not forced to move to the United States, we made the decision to move here but it is a big decision to make... one that isn't made lightly.....

The USC's could have decided to move to thier SO's country too and if they had there probably would be complaints about the SO's country too....

We give up alot when we move to another country.... family, friends etc... it is a big adjustment to make no matter who you are or where you are from....

You as the USC get to keep your lifestyle and normal way of life with the added bonus of having your SO with you.... us aliens have to adjust to a different lifestyle etc... We do love the fact that we can be with our SO's but that doesn't mean that we can't be unhappy about other things....

I feel a little isolated here.... I spend all week by myself.... it gets kind of lonely... I don't have a car and the freedom that brings with it....

back home I had my own car and I could come and go when I wanted....

I love being with my hubby though, I wouldn't have it any other way :D ... well, I do wish I could at least move closer to Canada... so I could go for a visit more often....

I just don't see why someone would get personally offended by people stating FACTS. It is a FACT for many that their standard of living is lower here. It is not an attack on the US per se. I have also lived in other countries. It would be a fact to say that my standard of living was best in Japan. That doesn't mean that Japan is the best country I have ever lived in, merely just that I made a lot of money there.

Not quite. I'm no longer allowed to pee on the bathroom wall. I'm no longer allowed to get Chinese delivery every other day. I'm no longer allowed to leave my boxers lying on the floor :(

My wife says the same thing. I took her car shopping few days ago and she's uncomfortable with the prices being too high. Showed her a cheap POS and she doesn't like that either. The next few weeks are gonna be fun :)
