Rejected; payment amount incorrect

I'm going to call the NCSC tomorrow, but any ideas why my I-485 would be returned rejected for incorrect or missing payment.  The packet had the I-485, i-765, and i-131 and a check for $1,140.  Do I need to include a fingerprint fee or something?

 

Of course, like badly written software, the USCIS does not tell me *what* was wrong, only that something is wrong.  Geez.

 

This is for AOS from a K1 fiancee visa.

Yes, you forgot $85 for the biometrics fee.

The fee's went up. It's now $1,225. It's always good to double check before you send anything to see if anything changed.

For which form?  I did not see that on any of the instructions.  I see stuff about a biometrics appointment, but not about needing to pay a fee for that with the form.  Not arguing, just confused.

Read the next sentence in the instructions.

Biometrics = $85

 

You send a check in the amount of $1225 

 

The biometrics is both for form i-485 and i-765.

The $1,225 include the $85 biometrics fee and the applications for I-485,I-131 and I-765.

 

I applied for these from K1 myself and some other members too.

Unless you're between the ages of 14 and 78, then you have to pay $85 for biometrics.

It's not that hard.

I also forgot the 85$ biometrics fee, and igot my package returned. But I want to know if I can just add an aditional money order for the biometrics fee instead of having to refund the $140 to make it $225, can anyone tell me?

Most likely, your $1140 did not get cashed so you would need to resubmit the whole thing again.  $1225.

My friend sent a cashier's check of $1,225 and still their I-485 application package got rejected for incorrect filing fees.

He's over 14 and less than 78 years old. 

This is the 2nd time it is rejected.

The first time, he sent 2 separate cashier's checks (one for I-485 and one for biometric fees) and they rejected it.

 

Any help please?
