RIFE - I-864 joint sponsor / no letter of employment

hi everyone, I received a RFIE (Request For Initial Evidence) asking for some documents of my joint sponsor, he sent me everything except the letter of employment, he lives in another state so before asking him I was wondering how necessary the letter is since I have his last pay stub. I'm concerned because the letter from USCIS says that if I fail to submit all the evidence required I will be denied. Has anyone been through something like this? I have his pay stub, proof of assets, tax returns, proof of citizenship BUT the letter of employment

One pay stub? you should have about 4-6 months of pay stubs.

 

What about W-2?

Does he meet the poverty guideline for the person + his family? (Since you write assets it doesn't seem like it)

You either do assets or required income, why are you doing both ?

It is standard to receive a RFE that lists both proof of income and assets, its just a general letter.
So decide if your sponsor meets the poverty income guidelines and if not then you send evidence of assets.
You need 5,6 pay stubs, one is not enough and yes they want an employer letter.
I would also send official tax transcripts which have all schedules attached rather than tax return copies.
