Cant get update on our file at Nebraska Service Center

Hi everyone. We submitted our I-130 US Citizen with a received date of 9/7/2016 by Nebraska Service Center.  I have called the Customer Service center twice with no help they never gave a referral number, or  (SRMT) inquiry number.  I have done online status inquiries on their website daily saying its within processing times. We have never received RFE.

I have tried to contact Nebraska Service Center by email, and only received auto reply.  I have also contacted SCOPSSCATA  by email where they asked for a SRMT #. I finally had to book info pass at local office not feeling very confident about going there either.

Nebraska's processing times have been a bit odd.  Early on we knew they had transferred cases out.  All the other service centers are ahead of Nebraska when it comes to processing times. Also their processing dates have gone backwards, and forwards.

I have looked at some of the time lines for Nebraska, and have found that one couple had NOA-1 received 10-11-2016 and they were approved 1-10-2017. They are already on the path with the NVC.

Another Couple received NOA-1 8/31/2016 and approved today with NOA-2.

Congratulations to the couples got approved but we are getting concerned with where our file is.  We have received no RFE'S or anything so we are getting concerned.

If anyone has any advice that would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Phadrea

Some get through faster than others.  It happens.  Depends on the adjudicator.  Just have to wait it out and do your best to be patient.

If those around your dates are hearing news, then you soon will too.

You have a receipt with a LIN number?  Form I-797C? If so you have your "reference number" and you got lucky won the lottery and got Nebraska.

If you read August filers ....I-130 and July, you will see the past wait times, many are still waiting to be processed.

You are still within the USCIS processing time estimates of March 21, 2017 and March 28, 2017. If by April 3, 2017 you don't get a response, then you should contact USCIS.
