Tourist visa will be faster than CR1. she should visit one of your family member.

Then, tender CRI petition to have your wife there with you.

Congratulations on your new wedding.

Thanks !   Actually the reason I want her to come in December is to meet my dad, who has cancer and it's important that they meet soon.   I will mention this in my application in the I-130, and I hope it helps speed up the process.

If anyone knows the answer to which lockbox to send to (Chicago or Phoenix).  I'm in Ukraine (Chicago).. although it's temporary.  Permanent residence is California (Phoenix).   I want to do Phoenix because the plan is to return to California where I work.

It has taken me a while to grasp the reasoning behind this, but I'm finally starting to get why.  too many people abusing the Tourist Visa and staying in America.  Makes sense.

yep A LOT of people go in on tourist visas and illegally stay saying "oh we decided to get married while I was here ..." BULLSH*T they intended all along and it ruins it for the rest of us doing things properly unfortunately  :-(

Regarding your timeframes, unfortunately I don't see you getting through the process in your required time. That's just the reality of it as many of us are approaching 1 year when all the correct paperwork was submitted.
