Passport glitch while on LPR

While on my 10 year GC, my passport lapsed for a month. I renewed it as soon as I realized the problem, and then sent in my N400 application.

 

I attached copies of all passports and visas in my application and so there is already a tacit admission (Issued/expires dates on old and current passports show the gap). The N400 does not explicitly address this, and AFAIK it does not seem to affect employment eligibility or legal status.

 

My interview has been scheduled, and I'm wondering how much of an issue this might prove to be.

I'm sure it won't be an issue. Lots of people have expired passports at one time or another.

A lot of LPRs are in US with expired passports. If there is no need to renew, why pay the extra $$, deal with consulate paperwork, etc.

You are not required to have a current passport as a greencard holder, this will not be an issue.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
