The form I 134 is the affidavit of support. My fiance only gave me w2s and everything else the form requires only for the past year and it was enough at the end of the day. As far for the translations I chose to translate everything so I can be on the safe side and have them also in English when I move just in case. Its up to you what you'll decide.Stick on the instructions and get everything the embassy letter requires. Do everything as fast as possible cause you know in Greece everything takes so much time.Watch out for the police reports and make sure everything is ok cause you re not gonna get in hand they re gonna send it straight to the embassy. And watch out is for judicial use!I got birth certificate, lixiarchiki praksi, etc and translated everything in the department of translations of the Greek ministry. Its cheap and quite fast.Evidence of relationship and support are really important.Tickets, photos, conversations etc.All the forms have instructions that are really clear.Stick with that and if you have any questions we re here!As far as police records from other countries you lived more than six months I am sorry I can't help you.If the instructions say you need them try to get them.

thanks so much for these info!

Quick question, do you remember if you got your penal record (poiniko mitroo) from a police department or the Ministry of Justice ?

I got mine from the Ministry of justice, and as you also said it was marked as Juridicial use. They stated that this is the official place to  get these records but now i am wondering if that is true.

Hey there,

we did it from the ministry of justice but had to go back after 2 weeks because they didn't do it right.  Anatoli, who was born in Greece, but spent less than a year in Canada did not have to provide a  police record.  If you are greek born you only need the record if you spent more than a year in another country.   When i collected information for the affidavit of support I provided so much: w-2, tax returns from last 3 years, showed that i owned a car, my pay stubs for 3 months, my bank account statements from 3 months.  I wanted to show everything I could to prove I could support another person with my money and assets.

My fiance just got his penal record as well and there was an option to send it directly to the US Embassy. It worked for him. I think he went through the ministry of justice.

Does anyone know what the processing time is after you pass the interview? How fast do they stamp your passport and send it out to you?

Thanks!

Hello Guys,

First of all thanks everybody for sharing your experiences with the K1 visa and helping the rest of us. I am planning to post a brief description of my personal experience in a few weeks (hopefully I will be done with the interview as well) which I am sure will help quite a few people.

I am trying to look ahead and get prepared for the Adjustment of Status process after my entry in the US, and I have a question with regards to the required vaccination records.

Where did you guys take it from? Is there an official document I could legalize and present to the US doctors? As a Greek citizen, I only have a handwritten health book ( Vivliario Ygeias). I have looked a lot online to find any relevant case but nobody seems to talk about this.

Thank you so much in advance

Antonios

Of you did your medical back home, the envelope that the embassy gave you has all your documentation and medical. You technically don’t have to provide any medical to Uscis when you apply for adjustment. I was approved without sending any further medical document besides the one that I did back home because it is valid for a year.
