Yes,  She can call for your case no. your fiance can send you scanned copies but I don't think you will be asked for it because they have it with the i-129f petition. Nevertheless,  you still need to have signed copy with you.

Print important part of your conversations with your fiance,  not just all pages.  You will get those proofs back when approved. Answer questions when asked only and look directly to the co's eyes while interviewing you.

I really appreciate your help! Thank you very much! The i-134 was not required when we filed the i-129 in the USA. So i have to give it now thats why i asked if scanned copies are ok or if she needs to mail them to me. So when packet 3 arrives from the embassy i will send them back what is required and then i ll wait for packet 4? Which is to book medical exams and interview? Also when i send packet 3 back i need to send proofs of our relationship with our conversations, photos etc?

I-134 is the Affidavit of support form, it's part of the required form for i-129f petition, but since yours was approved without it, scanned copies are OK. Every document you send with your packet 3 must be copies except birth certificate which you may include both copy and original to make their work easy. Don't forget to ask or remind them as soon as your visa is approved or issued for the original. Even without asking them,  they will include your original birth certificate separately when returning your documents  via DHL.

When packet 3 arrives,  send it back to them with your proof of relationship (conversations,  pics,  etc). If you visited islands or other states in Greece,  include the tickets and hotel receipts.  They will review packet 3 and send packet 4 (contain info on medical, booking interview and visa fee) which means you are documentaryly qualified.

Don't forget to ignore the DHL registration instruction. Send back packet 3 at your own expense via DHL.  That part will be completed when you receive packet 4 and book your interview / pay fee. The cost is €11 for package not more than 1kg.

Lastly but not the least, many people make mistakes with the passport size photo and end up taking a new one at the embassy, not too bad when you have the money.  The cost is €12. Two people who had interview same day with me were asked to retake theirs, one of them came from far and took a taxi because she was running late.  She had no money to pay and then pleaded for my assistance.  Try to get the actual size from a photo shop though many are not conversant with the size. You can go to a photo shop where they know about DV lottery passport size photo.  That's exactly the size of passport photo required.

I dont understand the part you say ignore the DHL registration! So i ll just send packet 3 via DHL? I hope i can find one here cause i live in Mykonos!! This will be an issue when i have to send packet 3 and then receive my visa! I got my photos taken yesterday so i can have them ready and the photo shop here seemed to know exactly the requirements so i hope it will be fine! I gave them all the required specifications and they e mailed it also to me so i can put it in the ds 160 form. Something else i wanted to ask you is for the penal record for judicial use! I went to a KEP here in Mykonos luckily a friend works there and he is helping me out. So he asked around and found out that as soon i have my case number he can request it from here in Mykonos and then get it straight to the embassy without me going to Athens and require it. I hope this is true! I will request this when i have my case number or when i book my interview appointment? Something else i dont know is if they need my military records and if it needs to have the appostile stamp. I already send my birth certificate and lixiarhiki praksi genniseos to be translated... So many things to resolve!! Your help is so valuable and i really appreciate your responses!!

The instruction said you should register with DHL for document return. Once you start registering there is need to register for your appointment and if you follow this process,  you will need to pay fee and choose a date for interview. (this is supposed to be after you receive packet 4).

Most people who wrote me to enquire about this process followed same procedure and I am happy two of them are here now.  Send your packet 3 back without registering for document return. Register when you receive packet 4, that is while booking appointment.

If you don't have DHL branch office in Mykonos,  you can use any other courier that offer express services like FedEx.  I think you have few courier offices in mykonos. You can as well call DHL customer service and enquire if they have a branch in mykonos.

In a case you use any other courier service order than DHL,  address your package to Immigrant Visa Section, US embassy Athens Greece with their full address as written on the instruction paper.  The reason why DHL is recommended is because they work with US embassy and you must receive your passport with visa through them.  When you receive packet 4, you will book appointment and pay visa fee,  while doing that,  the only available courier service is DHL.  You will need to select DHL office close to you,  whether in mykonos or another city close to Mykonos.  For pickup,  you have to go there. I hope you understand.

It's true the KEP is there to assist the citizens of the country,  I will advise you to go and request for panel record for judicial use by yourself.  You can do this the same day you go to Athens for your medical because the two hospitals recommended and recognised by US embassy for medicals are located in Athens.  Go for your panel record in the morning at 9am and then have your medical at 11am or 12pm

Your friend can not request it and have it received by KEP and then send to the embassy.  It has to be sent directly from the ministry to US embassy upon request and it takes about 1 week.

For your military record,  have it with you and if possible add an appostil stamp in order to authenticate it and then have it translated.  Answer your ds160 questions carefuly and answer questions that pertain to that if any.   Have both the original and copy when you go for interview but don't give it to them if they don't ask and if not on ds160.. but If it's on ds160, answer the questions and read if the instruction need you to send copy. I think you should add copy in this case for early verifications and to avoid delay after your interview.

I just applied for my AOS here,  I think there is a question about having ever been in the military. Come here with the copies as well.

I will see if I can find and send you copy of the document return instructions I am talking about.

Hi guys,

I have got an interview in Athens in mid September. My visa type is EB1 (employment based), different from most of the people on this forum who request K1. I was not able to find anyone from Greece in this forum who has or need EB visa. I hope you could help me out.  I and my family are non-Greek citizen and all documents we sent to NVC were from our home country in our native language and their translations were done by certified translators and got accepted. As far as I see from the posts in the forum sent by Greek petitioners,  you guys translate all documents from Greek into English at Ministry of Foreign Affairs before you appear on interview date. Could anyone help me for the questions below?

1-Do I need to translate them again here in Greece by Ministry of Foreign Affairs?

2-How long it takes to have the documents back (Birth certificates, police certificates from home country, marriage certificate and military record)?

Hello! I will try to help you out with the info i got. I just received yesterday packet 3 from the embassy that they notify me to send them all the papers needed. In the instructions says that documents in Greek or English dont need to be translated. But several people here strongly encouraged me to translate the papers from Greek to English so in order to be on the safe side i am doing that. I am a Greek citizen and my visa is k1. I dont know what happens with EB1 visa you re applying and because since you are a non Greek citizen i dont know what stands with the translation part. Maybe you should call the embassy just to be sure. I gave for start my birth certificate to be translated and it took around 10 days to get it back! I hope i could help you more!
