Hello everyone,

I am a permanent resident and I applied for naturalization last year, a month ago I had my interview and then right after that I received a request for evidence from the uscis.

I sent my response with all necessary documents a week ago (03/11/17) through USPS priority certified mail. last Wednesday when I checked my delivery status on usps website, it said that a note was left because no authorized recipient was available and that my envelope is now at the post office and they are waiting for someone to go pick it up. I check the delivery status everyday and nothing changes, I don't think uscis will ever send someone to pick up my envelope, or would they?

The real problem is that my deadline is next Monday 03/20/17 and I believe that if they don't receive my response by then, they will simply close my case, I know I can file a motion to reopen my case since I have proof that I sent the documents before the deadline, but god! it will be like starting the whole process from the beginning and it's unfair.

My only option right now is to re-send my documents (fortunately I made copies for everything) using fedex or ups this time and pay extra for 1 day delivery, hopefully they will receive my envelope on Monday.

What would you advise me to do? does is seem like a good idea? won't that be a problem if ever they receive both of my envelopes the same day?

Thank you so much in advance for your time and help.
