I have recently filed the I 129f and have received the NOA1. I am trying to get the paperwork ready for the I 134 (I am visiting my fiance next week in Algeria). My question is.....my 2015 tax return says I meet the 125% but just by  $500....but that is my salary I receive and report on my personal tax return (I own my own business and take a salary) But......through a family trust I actually receive an additional  $15000 a year in rent. That $15000 is not recorded on my personal tax return since the taxes are paid through the trust. My question is....do I list the additional income on the 134 and if so.....where? And what documentation do I need to provide? Thank you for all of your help!

You probably don't need to - as long as your tax return says you make over the minimum you shouldn't need to provide any more information. If, at the interview, they say the amount you make is insufficient, (which they shouldn't) you can submit the further evidence of your prepaid rent.

you won't need the i134 until the interview, which will be after April 15th

that means that the most recent tax will be 2016, not 2015. so what was your tax last year and what are you making currently?

Sounds like you won't need it.  However if you have a nice sized savings account, proof of that can help.  If not for the K-1, down the road when AOS comes up.  Good luck!

Thank you for the help.....

I am certain there will be an extension filed on my tax return so it will not be available until September/October. I will make the same in 2016 as I did in 2015.....if the I 134 is needed before October .....I assume I will need a copy of the extension request, my W2, and 2015 tax return....should I also submit a letter from the administrator of the trust if the 2016 return hasn't been filed?

Thank you again for all of your help....
