Hello, just thought I'd ask how how long did others have to wait to have their interview scheduled. I received my EAD card on January 30, 2017 but still have yet to have a date for my interview. Please advise as to what I can expect or what your experience was like.

 

Also, does anyone know approximately how long I have to wait to be able to travel? MY EAD card says, "Not valid for US Re-entry". I am Canadian and would like to travel again.

Did you apply for Advance Parole?

If you didn't apply for Advance Parole ALONG with the AOS and EAD, then you won't be able to travel until you have your GC. You -can- send off an AP application if you would like, with a copy of your I-485 NOA1 Notice (I-797), but that will take 90 more days to be approved and it's possible you could have your GC before then.

There is never an approximate date for anything, people here can only give the averages talked about on the USCIS site and their experiences. For example, my husbands GC was approved in 77 days, very very fast, but some people that applied around the same  time as my husband (April 2016) didn't even get their EAD until over 120 days, and there are some still waiting for interview.

Also, your information is all over the board. You're post is in IR-1/CR-1 processes forum but your time line shows you have applied for Naturalization also.


Did you come into the US and marry while visiting? Are you adjusting from a visa? Knowing these things can help us give you answers.
