FML. 211 days TSC and still no NOA2 whatttt isss happpeninggg!! I looked at cases around my and not approved either but theres a ton of april filers approved. I dont understand this anymore, someone told me that if my wife had previously applied for a tourist visa and was denied that this would affect my i130 and would be sent to background check? anybody has gone through this? i've been reading posts here about it and people says it does not affect but being that its taking forever i dont know what to think anymore. Last time i called USCIS about 2 weeks ago Tier 2 officer did not says anything about background checks he just said to wait. :crying:

Well, since you are past the 6 months processing time for USCIS, Did you put a service request online? I would start with that and see what will be their reply. Also, you can get your congressman's office involved so they can find why it is not adjudicated until now and push it. Hope that helps.

Yeah they will say that but you can submit a case inquiry and get your congressman's office involved if you wana push it a little. otherwise, you can wait two weeks or so and see if you get an approval.

Hello,

Yes unfortunately its 9-11 months wait time now. There is nothing we can do about it or say anything to them. Sometimes you can send an  inquiry and sometimes u cant. I send one in sep and it was completed as of oct 17th it took them a month for my  inquiry to get to an officer...but was told on Monday by a officer that I have to give them 60 days to finish it. Which in dec will be 9 months since my PD. Also about the tourist visa its a bigggg chance that your wife will be denied. I guess everything was easy before but not anymore since alot of ppl abuse it. I also wanted my husband to come on a tourist visa but was told by the officer on Monday its a very big chance that he will be denied since we are in the process of being approved. So because other ppl abused it we all have to suffer. I know its not fair but honestly we cant do none about it. Also the denial of a tourist visa has nothing to do with this process. Try a tourist visa but be prepared for a denial. Also if she does go for a tourist visa, dont lie say the truth about having a husband. Trust me one way or another they do find stuff out. We might not think that way but its immigration eveything is connected. Back home or here in US. Goodluck

About the tourist visa we had applied for it a year before we got married so back in Jan 2016 and i was just wondering since she was denied that visa back in 2016 would it affect our process now, but i was already told that it wont. So now we just have to wait and see how long it takes

He might have been denied but it wont affect what you are trying to do now, its two different things.

Is not that affect you in the process, and is not they are going to deny the green card because of that, but of course they take a look to know the reason  that person was inadmissible or denied from a visa in a specific time.

I thought about it but then i just decided to call instead and spoke to the tier 2 officer and he just said to wait that it took about 9 months

I think calling them is not a way to push them, they don't work that way, the only thing tier 2 does is giving information you can not see, for example sometimes people is approved, but no update in the system, no mail, and the NOA2 is on the way, so tier 1 can not see that, and you don't know your NOA2 is on the way, so tier 2 can see in their system if the case was already approved or not, so it's the only way they help, calling them just gonna give you more frustration.

People about doing a case inquiry I'm pretty sure it's the same when you try to expedite and they denied your expedite and only delay the case. So if you have been waiting a lot is worthless, is only going to delay the case like happened to Natti.... I saw her post in the Texas service center thread and she's totally right.

Received The AOS and Visa App Fee Invoices from the NVC in my email today.

There were instructions on how to pay them online (from your bank checking or savings accounts) so I paid them immediately ^_^  because they will not proceed any further until they receive payment.

Step by Step but starting to see the light at the end of the immigration tunnel.
