VJ member JessieABC created and manages a spreadsheet for the September filers. As far as I know the sheet is locked but I wonder if they would give one us a copy of the blank version that we could set up for March filers.

Just curious March filers what date did you use for NOA1 in your timeline?

Was it the date you got your email confirming it was accepted and assigned to a center or the actual date you received your  I-797 receipt or even the priority date?

The only way to keep it accurate is the make sure we are all using the same source. Currently in my timeline I am using the date I received the I-797 at my home address but I think this is wrong and maybe I should have used the date they say it was assigned to Nebraska.

I used the date they listed on the I-797. In my case, that was one day before it actually arrived.

I used the day the i-797 arrived. Good point that we need to be accurate with that.

I am not handy with making a spreadsheet or something but would like it cause it gives a good view on everyone proces.

I see my uploaded picture didnt manage to stay on either😑

I'm thinking it should be the date that they informed you it was being sent to the service centre. Because after I was informed by email the rest was just postal time to receive the letter and depending on where you live in the world the postage time would be different. The only consistent date you have is the date they received/accepted and the date they forwarded it.

I'm happy to put the spreadsheet together. I spend more time than I'd like to recall working in Google Docs and obsessively crunching numbers gives me the illusion I have some sort of control over this terrible process :D

I plan to include: Priority Date, NOA1 (defined as date they assigned your case), Service Center, and Country for now. And then we can start adding RFE (knock wood there are none in this group!), NOA2, etc. as things finally start moving!

Maybe nice to see where everyone is going to lie on the spreadsheet?

You mean where everyone is going to live post-immigration? Sure, good idea :)

7 March priority date here! Not really sure how long it takes to get to the next stage. I hear anything from 6-12 months?

We zitten in het zelfde wachtschuitje🇳🇱

I used a lawyer to do all of my paperwork (rather pay extra and be 100% sure it's all correct), and they divide up the work by types of forms, so my paralegal for this first stage only does I-130s. She told me that, in general, there tend to be more applications that go in starting mid-summer toward end of the year, so hopefully (fingers crossed) our timing will be a bit better :)

After the papers send in.... who has already booked a ticket to visit US spouse?

Last years i went 6 times a year, after sending papers i am a bit reservedly. Just did book 2,5 week in September. And read the thread about traveling after filing😳 My husband is the traveler this year.

I'm the American one but if you have a return ticket to show to CBP, I don't see why it would be a problem.

I'll admit I'm a bit jealous of people with European spouses. So much easier for you guys to come here (it would be a 3+ month process for my husband to get a tourist visa), and wifi, cellular networks, etc. are much more reliable (and cheaper!). I probably spend $200/month to call my husband and recharge his wifi account (they pay hourly in Cuba).

So you can look on the bright side there :)

I shouldn't complain too much though. I go to see him once a month. (37 days until my next trip...)

A returnticket is not seen as prove that you go back. People that do can stay after getting there greencard often don't buy a single ticket because most of the time same price or more expensive.

To show you will return and need to go home you need to show prove of housepayments, show you have a job you need to return too etc.

After filing they do look closer on your intensions. A shorter stay might be accepted but 3 months probably they will raise a eyebrow, or two. I have been in secondary once for 2,5 h and it was not nice at all😑 Never entered the country relaxed anymore and I refuse to fly on east coast if I have a stop.

Is it for Cubans that hard to visit the US, WoW.... Solution is that you are the traveller too during the proces, nice to see eachother every month at least.

The times without are so hard.

I think our cases both have a bright side. Imagine leaving everything behind for that one special... it's kind of a big thing but no doubt at all ❤️ Love will lead the way.

Its for all of us on the way, we are working( well, probably waiting is the better word😊) on it.
