Well darn. If Nebraska would just get on the ball!  This sucks. Living apart costs more and I'm ready to give them the world. I am going to visit September 13 for a week. It's just so hard waiting, but I'm grateful and looking forward to my visit. ❤️

I will say it is not impossible, just unlikely -- my colleague did it. But he was able to obtain multiple documents showing that both he and his wife have commitments to return to in their present country (Kuwait), so it helped convince the CO that they are just going to the US to visit and will leave afterward. Also, he and his wife had a kid together too (he obtained automatic citizenship for the son through Consular Report of Birth Abroad) so that probably helped his case as well. So it *can* happen, it's just it is not *likely* to happen AND it is taking a gamble that you might get a particularly suspicious CO who decides to flag your IV application.

Keep your chin up through the process -- just remember, it feels like forever right now, but eventually the waiting will be over and then you'll have the rest of your lives together. Take it one day at a time. Each day that passes is one day closer to when the awful process will be finished. You'll eventually look back and smile, knowing you made it through these challenges and how it made you a stronger couple -- the greater the adversity, the sweeter the triumph when you succeed.

Thank you for your kind and inspiring words. We wouldn't be able to build a strong enough case for a tourist visa. We just want our family together a few months isn't too long, considering we will have a lifetime together.  Some times are just harder than others. 😢

I know bestie. Fortunately (or unfortunately sometimes!) Sacrifices have to be made during this process.  I currently live with my parents to cut down on expenses, and travel around for work. But it certainly is more expensive overall. I am my own boss and decide when to work, but it also means I get to spend months not wanting to do anything because I get sad. Then I have to push myself to get back up again.

I'm glad you will be able to visit in September, it really is around the corner and I hope you have a great stay!

Nothing yet. They seem to be heavily into the first half of February, so I'm hoping just a few more weeks since my PD is March 3rd :)

Lots of people aren't getting updated online, so I'm checking my mail everyday!

Okay, thank you again. I was hoping for more... we are in end of March. So hard to deal with being separated. Breath in, breath out🍀
