No you can travel alone. 

 

The letters "ftj" mean follow to join, so to join your spouse already in the USA.

You are more than welcome.

 

I do not have the same annotation on my visa as your one, you have a CR1 and I received an IR1. Also because my wife lives outside the US I cannot enter without her accompanying me the first time, your husband is already in the country.

So.. The only different is that ur wife lives outside us while my husbamd never lived in another country

It might just be that the annotation is an error in your case and doesn't apply to you.  I would just email or phone the embassy for clarification, another option is bring a photocopy of your husbands passport which proves he is already in the country.
