Congrats, take a breath now and relax. B-)

At this stage of the process you will be more involved and it feels as if you more in control. Start to gather any documents you are going to need for your application. Request your police certificate if needed and any financial documentation. We had our I-864 pretty much prepared and it really just needed to be printed and dated. It makes preparing the packet much easier if you are ahead of the process.

yup. already got the police report done and our lawyer already has everything else.

Just curious and not sure if it makes a difference but when you are logging in are you choosing applicant or petitioner? When fees have to be paid I choose petitioner any other time I sign in as applicant.

In some instances you have to wait until your choice of agent is accepted before it allows payment of AOS fee. It takes about a week or so until payment is cleared before you can move on to the next stage.

My signature is very accurate regarding the timing of each stage as it came to me.

Whenever I log in I do it as petitioner.

My case was weird. I called and got my case number and ID but I wasn't able to log in. When I called NVC they told me it was because they hadn't generated a welcome letter for my case. And until that was done I wouldn't be able to log in. However I was able to log in once! Just once somehow and was able to complete the DS261. At this point I stills hadn't received a welcome letter and the AOS fee didn't show up either. Called NVC again to ask and they were surprised and did not understand how I was able to log in and complete the DS261. Long story shot this morning I received the welcome letter logged in normally paid AOS fee, called NVC so they could accept my choice of agent, they did it over the phone and now waiting for IV bill.

That's the current version, they have not released the updated version yet.  So this is the version that everyone is currently using.

hey. how long after getting your case number did you receive your welcome letter/email? i think you're a coupe days ahead of me so using you as reference. i didn't have to choose an agent so simply waiting for the fees to open up.

It took 3 weeks after getting my case number for the welcome email. I've updated my time so you can better estimate yours. Received welcome letter  21st of Feb then I submitted the DS261 and called NVC for them to verify it over the phone and also paid the AOS fee $120. 3 days later IV bill was received via email. Paid that the 24th of Feb. Which was this past Saturday now waiting for IV to show as paid and I will then start the DS260. I have the AOS package ready, I downloaded the i864 filled it out just haven't dated it yet and have all the financial documents. My wife is working on her documents for the IV package. As soon as I have her documents I'm sending them. You should start to gather these packages also.

She was supposed to send me a biographic form since monday and a to do list for my application and its thursday and she hasn't sent it out yet. I have paid my fees and they have been processed as of today and i am ready to fill out the IV application and still waiting on her. Do i start filling the form out myself or wait on her?
