My case was approved on 1/31 and I called today and the representative said they didn’t receive anything. She said it can take upto 6 weeks to get a case number but I will call again next week to check.

You can try to call the NVC. Does anyone know if NVC commmunicates via mail or email?

Hello guys,

So now after my CC I am awaiting to be scheduled for interview at Mumbai consulate.

I have a question for anyone who might be in similar situation like mine specially people who have been through Indian consulates. My wife has our marriage certificate and her original birth certificate laminated, I know in US some documents are considered invalid after lamination. Does anyone have any experience about presenting laminated documents during visa interview? Did they accept/reject it them? Any inputs will be helpful.

that's great news @Mrs Prestige! 🤗🤗🤗

Thanks. Trust me don't wait for the 2 weeks. Call them every day.

My husband called them last Friday, they ask him to call this Friday, so told him no we wouldn't wait till Friday, so he called them yesterday, they told him again to call again next week friday , so I asked him to call again today, and he did! That was when they gave him the case and invoice numbers over the phone.

No he wasn’t he applied as a resident we upgraded the application in Oct 2017  because be because a US citizen then. I did call them again on monday and they said my file is upgraded but I still had to wait the representative transfer my call so I can soeak to an agent. According to the immigration agent said that on feb 12th they had made decision on my case. But that was on Monday and I live in Boston so I haven’t received anything yet is a little soon. On the case status nothing’s have been updated either. So I’m just anxiously waiting!

congratulations on your aproval!!

Hey guys!

Just called NVC and received my case number and Invoice ID.. Tried to log on but it says " Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error." has anyone received this message before or is it because it was just assigned today?
