Question!

We just received NOA2 Approved (12/16/17) so we are very happy..

Once my wife receives her visa she will be flying to New York where i live obviulsy. My question is can we travel from El Salvador to Miami first? she want to visit Miami and then home to NY?

Would it be a problem that her first entry will be miami and not NY where we are going to live?

And also would it be any difference? i''ve asked and have been told Miami is tougher on these things but why would it matter right? she's legally entering the US with me.

She can legally enter the US in Miami, which will be her point of entry, and continue with you.  With her passport stamped she will be able to travel from Miami to New York. Not sure why she would be given a hard time if you're there to meet her after she's entered.  She just needs to let the officer know she's in transit to New York and that you're in Miami waiting for her.

Yeah i figured this shouldnt be a problem. And i wont be in Miami i will be entering with her. Im taking my vacations from work whenever she gets her visa, so i will fly to El Salvador then we will fly back to US together. Being that im going to be on vacation we wanted to visit Miami and spend a couple of days there then return home to NY.

No I didn't get any text or email

When I made USCIS account after and added my case on there , text and email alerts were off , by default I guess, so maybe that's why , but I turned it on now so let's see when I get noa2
