Where is the below data in the picture coming from ?

 

USCIS website says TSC is currently processing September 4th 2016 ... The below says November 25th and goes up 1 day every 24 hours... I understand thats its extracting the below information from member's timeline however, I have seen few timelines of the members and it doesn't seem to correlate correctly

 

just curious what kind of formula is this website using to provide the information below ?

It's exactly what it says it is.  Estimates based on information entered into VJ members timelines.  

 

Is it official?  No, you have to go by what USCIS posts on their website, though that data seems to be at least 1-2 months out of date. 

 

Is it accurate?  Pretty darn close.  Of course, because some members don't fill out a timeline, or fill it out incorrectly and because not everyone with a pending case isnon VJ, it can't be 100% but it was spot on with the estimation of the adjudication of my EAD/AP where the USCIS chart was of zero use to me.  

 

It's kind of like a GPS navigation system.  Not 100% but it'll get you there ?

Just like it says on the bottom of the picture, the dates are based off VJ member data. When people put in on their timeline when things are completed or sent, such as NOA1, NOA2s, Biometrics appointments, etc.

It generates an idea of when things should be happening, so if VJ claims that yesterday a whole bunch of users from CSC that had their NOA1 date as Dec 25th, all had their NOA2 for I-129F come back approved today, the system is going to assume that I-129F's from CSC are being processed for the dates of around Dec 23rd or 24th.


Note, while this data is helpful, it is not always correct, as some people do not fill any information at all and this is a small portion of the immigration world.
