AED card

I have requested my AED card and tried tracking it with the receipt # on USCIS website but they couldn't find it, said the # doesn't exist. Does this mean that the card hasn't been processed or sent yet or what?

It only means that there's an error in their system. I had the same thing for 5 months when we filed our i-129f.

 

Sometimes the receipt number starts working after a few hours, sometimes after a few days and sometimes it never does. We had to put in a service request to get it fixed, it's worth a try.

 

Expect the EAD to take between 90 and 115 days to get approved, counting from your NOA1 date. That is without RFEs and no expedite.

I tried calling customer service number too and it said the number is invalid again. What should I do? I am assuming it means it hasn't been mailed, so there's no tracking?which would make sense....

Fill in your timeline so we know how long ago you filed. I assume you got a letter in the mail saying your EAD was approved? Then the card will show up within 2 weeks I bet.

 

When you call customer service you don't give them your receipt number until you get to talk to a real person. Just press that you lost your receipt number.

I did get a letter in the mail but it doesn't say it's been approved it just says the case has been received and is in process. They received it 02/17, exactly a month ago.

Oh so that's nothing then. Like I said in my other post, give it at least 90 days from the received date on the letter you got. It generally takes more than 90 days right now for them to approve EADs.

 

If you have a written job offer you can get it expedited.
