This is just getting ridiculous. Last Friday when they updated the date didn't even move forward from the Friday before and now it's 5pm and nothing has even been updated today.

It's just really frustrating. Has anyone heard anything about why they've just stopped working?

sorry, yes I'm in the UK and I did DCF thru the Embassy. I am currently waiting for my NOA2.

https://uk.usembassy.gov/embassy-consulates/government-agencies/dhs/uscis/i130filing-html/

This website updates weekly on a Friday, letting people know what I-130's are being processed, which can give you an indication of when you will receive the NOA2.

Last Friday when it updated the dates did not move forward from the 5th of January... Today it hasn't even been updated.

So frustrating. London was just a month wait a year ago, around 2 months earlier this year and the latest update is now 78 days waiting. I know we have it lucky compared to non-DCF filers, but as a US citizen who pays taxes and a hefty $535 fee, this feels woefully inadequate! They are slowly down rather than catching up and some of us have urgent reasons (sick family member) to immigrate :-( I hate that it feels like whoever works on I-130s keeps getting pulled away or deprioritized!

I am the USC, my husband is a UKC. IR-1 via DCF London.

3/24/2017: I-130 packet sent

3/28/2017: NOA1 date

5/19/2017: NOA2 date (received 5/25)

6/14/2017: LND number received

6/27/2017: medical booked

6/29/2017: Knightsbridge call that needs to come back for 2nd chest x-ray

6/30/2017: 2nd chest x-ray

7/3/2017: Knightsbridge call to confirm x-ray was clear

7/5/2017: interview booked - approved in principle pending receipt of medical

7/6/2017: status changed to Issued

7/09/2017: e-mail from courier that it had been received from embassy

7/10/2017: courier delivered

I completely agree, @aless02. I was SO disappointment with this morning's updated. So ridiculously frustrating!! Surely getting US citizens and their families back to the US should be one of their priorities? ARGH! Has anyone ever seen the dates speed up or do they just get longer and longer?

You could look at past VJ timelines, but going back too far isn't very accurate as no idea whether the department has recently cut staff, moved people around, prioritized other sections, etc. With no statutory declarations (i.e., "applications will be processed within X working days"), we don't even have recourse to formally complain. (Unless someone has ever actually done it before and found it did something?!)

Again, I know we're lucky compared to inside US filers, but it's mega frustrating to be totally unable to plan a Transatlantic house move because I have no idea if or when the embassy will pull their finger out it if it will get any worse!

Sorry just needed to vent, haha. Work visas get approved much faster, which just stinks as it feels like citizens should be prioritised.

The guy who updates the website is on holiday. His backup girl left early for a root canal. It does not mean the entire USCIS office in London stopped working. Don't pin your hopes and dreams on watching any version of immigration updates. They aren't nearly that important to the worker bees who are churning out applications. Sometimes the updates are just wrong or behind actual times.

first of all, that post is from months ago. I'm pretty sure they've always been messing up the update and it has nothing to do with anyone being on holiday... (how you know this is odd in itself)

second of all, it's not REALLY a crazy idea to think that people could/would actually do their jobs and update a website on the day they say they're going to.

I was just trying to lighten up the stress of waiting for the new posters and readers of this topic with talk of holidays and dental appointments. It wasn't really specifically for you. I aplogize.

Some people do their jobs better than others and meanwhile we wait with little control. We all guess and stress but somehow get to the finish line eventually.

Unfortunately getting non-citizens into the country is not their priority. Their argument will always be that USCs can return anytime they want. Nothing is stopping them for a legal perspective. Those of us who went though the slow processing (through USCIS in the USA, NVC, etc) wait even longer and we are no less married or no less of a spouse than those that have the luxury of DCF. So if you feel you should have priority (and I'm not disagreeing with you on that) then you must agree (and I'm sure you do) that those of us going through the inside USA processing stream should have priority too. Unfortunately for all

of us, USCIS will never see it that way and there's nothing anyone can do but wait.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

I hate the long waits that inside USA processors have to wait, as well! The whole thing is pretty ludicrous and inefficient, but it's not like we have a choice. :-(
