Unemployed + co-sponsor for I-134, will that work?

Say if I haven't worked for several years, and my dad is willing to co-sponsor and he hits all the requirements to sponsor several times over, will that be enough for the I-134 during the interview? The interview would be in Australia.

In further detail, I have worked a little bit, I made $16k last year doing freelance illustration. I would like to go live with my fiance in Australia while waiting for his interview for 6 months, but I’m not sure if I would be allowed to work remotely with my US client on a visitor visa or if I would need to get a different visa. I plan to call the embassy tomorrow to see what they say. If I get an answer or don’t, I’ll let you guys know in case you’re curious. But just in case, I'll ask you guys anyway, have any of you done remote work on a visitor visa and then proved their income on a I-134?

If I don't work during that time, I'll be okay with my savings since I don't have to pay rent, but I'm more worried about me not working the last 6 months looking bad during the interview. And I do know that even if I do work, I'm still going to need my co-sponsor.

Yes, I have seen the tips for Affidavit of Support here on Visa journey:  http://www.visajourney.com/content/support

I guess I mostly want to know if there are specific people on this forum who were un-employed and had a co-sponsor fill out an I-134 with them and still got their fiance visa approved?

Ok good to know, thanks! My biggest reason for not working much is traveling to spend time with my fiance and not having to pay rent in either country. I plan to be at the interview with him to explain that if it's a good reason.
