Vaccinations and IV packet // NVC people please answer

I'm getting way ahead of myself with this question, as I haven't even received NOA2 yet (6 months in), but I read on someone's blog that she sent her vaccination records with the IV packet/ in support of a question on the DS 260 I suppose that asks about your vaccinations and if you would have proof to show them that you are vaccinated according to the US standards or something along those lines... So, has anyone done this or is it just something that is dealt with once you go to your medical (you take your vaccination records with you to the medical..) ?

 

Hope someone knows the answer to this - is it necessary to provide them with the info about vaccinations in the IV packet?

There is a question on the DS-260 asking whether you have documentation to show that you've been vaccinated. There's no need to send evidence, though, as any documentation will be inspected at the medical. And if you don't have vaccination records at the time you complete DS-260, you can simply answer "no" and explain that the necessary vaccinations will be done at or before the medical.

I don't know exactly what the question is, but if I do have my vaccination records but don't have ALL of the necessary vaccinations done at time I am filling out the DS 260, what would I answer then?

The question is (or was in 2015): Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. Law? It's a yes/no answer and a box you can fill in to explain. In your case, I'd answer "no" and explain "the necessary vaccinations will be obtained at or before immigration medical".

Tick the box "no".....In almost all cases you will have your medical to turn in at interview. It becomes part of the package you turn over at POE. In our case there was a copy of the vaccinations and X-ray disc for our records.

Did all of you get all of the vaccinations ? I know a girl who has the exact same vaccinations as me and didn't have to get additional ones, got into the country with K1 no problem. But we don't have allllll of the ones listed on what I think was the USCIS website.

No, you don't need all of them - just those that are age-appropriate. For most people, it's probably just Tdap, MMR, variecella (or verbal confirmation that you've had chicken pox), and flu (only necessary during local flu season at time of exam). You can read through the CDC's technical guidelines at https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/exams/ti/civil/vaccination-civil-technical-instructions.html - there's a table near the bottom of the page that gives a fairly simple overview of what's needed for various age groups. If in doubt, discuss with your own doctor prior to the medical to see what's appropriate for you.
