This is my timeline so far for parole in place

On February 27th I got married

In the beginning of May we sent the parole in place application (I-131) for anyone trying to do this you have to physically write down "parole in place" in section 2 of the application.

May 27th they received my case and waived my fees.

In July they gave me an appointment for fingerprints.

And finally September 27th came for my pip interview and it was approved ! :)

next steps from here is to apply for the I-485 and I-130.

Did anyone apply for a work authorization through pip?

Hi, I was wondering if you applied while your status was of an undocumented immigrant married to a us military or did you enter the U.S legally at first? Second, what did you send that got you approved? What kind of documents and reason to be given PIP?

(Cont.) did you get an attorney? What state did you apply/submit from? Excuse the amount of questions but I might be getting married with my boyfriend that just joined the military and I wanted to know what my options are. About me: I was brought here illegally as a toddler and I currently got my daca renewal. I'm mostly a full time student but plan to get a job to be able to pay for all these expenses. I was reading on other sites that PIP's are being denied more under Trump administration but other sites say the USCIS is still approving many. This is all very stressing, please help.

Hi Belladr,

i was also brought here as a toddler illegally and had no legal status other than DACA. If you're going to marry someone in the military you can apply for "parole in place" (I-131). The form basically grants you legal entry which opens the path to green card processing.

I did get a lawyer to help me out since I was a bit confused but the application is pretty self explanatory and easy. I'm from New York and submitted my form in New York. They usually give preference to these applications since your husband is in the military.

Since my parole in place was approved I am now in the process of applying for my green card application, petition of alien relative, advanced parole for travel and work authorization.

Hi

That's not true about the pip cases being denied due to the new administration, if you got married with a military your pip will be approved and you will get your resident card in less than a year I applied for pip last February and it was approved by the end of June...

USCIS respect our military personnel, anyway I will recommend you to hire a good lawyer, that helps a lot, I don't recommend you to apply by your self

Hey Belladr,

I was also under daca when I got married. I’m from New York so I submitted my application to the New York offices. I also did get an attorney. The process is pretty smooth throughout, the only annoying thing is the wait. And from what I see pip cases aren’t being denied because under trumps administration he was mainly targeting daca recipients.

Quick question for you! Did you have to submit a letter of hardship with your PiP request?!
