Thanks for your thought we actually been talking about K1-K2 process but my boyfriend a little unsure due to lack of tax declaration he missed compiling after his retirement so thinking visiting visa can be a good option

Frankly, if he missed his tax filing for the past years and all, he should probably rectify that before attempting filing any petition with USCIS as an I-134/I-864 Affidavit of Support is needed.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

If you guys are going the K-1 route starting with the I-129F, I-364 is needed at the K-1 visa interview stage while the I-864 is for the Adjustment of Status (AOS) stage.

I am not sure about which Affidavit of Support and at what point of time it is needed if you do the CR-1 though

A year ago, I did try the tourist visa. PH consulate. Got a job, certificate of employment, properties, bank statement.. Independent. I didn't even bother reading up forums like this, I was just confident. I was paying for my own trip.

The interview didn't even last 3 minutes. Reason of travel: Visiting the boyfriend. Denied. Reason: Not enough social and economic ties to my country. It felt like that was the only thing she needed to hear. She didn't even look at any of my papers. My heart broke that day.

I just waited until he could visit me again. We're now on K1, January filer.

Thank god for this forum. People here give the best advices. All the best to you!

I'm a gambling man and I occasionally bet on a long shot...but I wouldn't bet one single peso on your tourist visa.
