Good day everyone.

My boyfriend  for four years encouraging me to take a try applying for tourist visa which is (they said the impossible dream) so that we (together with my 6 years old daughter) get to visit him every school break.instead of him visiting us here every year why not visit him in return as well?

My profile here it is:

I'm just a full time mom,no land titles or any property of my own.i live with my parents.i have little savings account.my boyfriend is the one who supports me financially.is there any chances we will get approved?

Given your situation as explained in your original post, sadly, there is a very, very small chance for you to be approved because you're unable to prove your strong ties in the Philippines other than just your family and friends alone.

B1/B2 applicants need to demonstrate that they are really just visiting or there on a business trip and will return at the end of the trip without overstaying. Additionally, you need to be able to convince the officer with all your evidence that you're applying for the B1/B2 with NO immigration intent.

If you guys have talked about marriage before, this might be a good time to have a discussion about future plans and consider the K-1 or CR-1 path :) Just a thought.

Most likely your visitor visa will be denied. You can try as many times as you want, but you just have to be realistic about your chances, which are slim.

There is nothing wrong with trying except for the lost money if you are denied.  As others have said, your story and evidence are weak proof to an immigration officer especially if you are planning on traveling with your daughter.

I agree with others, I would save the money toward a K1 or CR1 if you are serious in your relationship and want to spend the rest of your lives together.

Good Luck!

4 years? You should look into a K1.

A young single mother who is unemployed and have a US boyfriend is a textbook high risk case. What reason would be for you to return to your country if you and your daughter are in the US and your BF tells you something like, "You don't have to go back, I'll take care of you."?

I totally understand that po, but the problem with you being in the Pinas is that it is a very high fraud country. That means it is VERY hard for an average Pinoy to get a tourist visa, and it would be even harder in your case as well. I am sorry for saying that but it is the truth. My asawa and I applied for her to get a tourist visa before we did the K1 with a case similar to yours, and it ended up being denied. Why don't y'all save up and do the K1 visa?

That your BF supports you financially says it all. For a tourist visa you NEED to prove ties to your country. If he is already supporting you financially maybe it's better you guys plan to marry or start the K1 path. Have you thought about it? I doubt the tourist visa is the way for you guys. Just a thought.

Boyfriend of 4 years?

Surely by now you know if it's meant to be so get married and be together if it is.

I was with a girl for 8 years. We were young (high school graduates) and about to get engaged at the end of it. Maybe that's not the best story because we did not end up together (but a lack of marriage wasn't a factor at all). Everybody has their own pace given their life's circumstances. Back then, 8 years was fine. Now in my life, 2 years was more than enough.

I agree to most of their suggestions. you having a boyfriend in US and you wanted to apply B1/B2 with your daughter, chances are you will be denied. Thanks for your thought we actually been talking about K1-K2 process but my boyfriend a little unsure due to lack of tax declaration he missed compiling after his retirement so thinking visiting visa can be a good option
