Hi all, I'm home that you guys can help me out since many before me have experienced with this already.  You guys know Vietnam's address is a little complicated so I want to make sure i'm filling it out correct, can you guys help me out?

Her address is (written in vietnamese)

203 Ấp Vĩnh Thắng

Xã Vĩnh Tuy, Huyện Gò Quao

Tỉnh Kiên Giang, Vietnam

As to what's asked for on the form,

Street # and Name

City/town

Province

Country

What I want to know is the city/town - Should I put Xa Vinh Tuy, Huyen Go quao???  Or how should i fully fill this part out?

Please help!!!!

It does not really matter what you put as City/Town as the only time that they will need the address is when they send out the Packet 3. Vietnam mail carrier will know where to deliver the letter.

Thank you Frontgear!!  You've responded to many of my posts and answered a lot of my questions and I really appreciate that.

Back to the subject, Should I just put "Xa Vinh Tuy, Huyen Go Quao in (city/town)

Also, for question # 29.a. This should be the same information correct?

Correct, please don't try to put English for Vietnamese words "AP, Xa, Huyen" mailmans there don't read English. Write them as it to save you from hassle.

Xa means neighborhood, Huyen means district and Tinh means province so I wouldn't put those words in the city/town or province.  What I would do is this: City/Town: Vinh Tuy/Go Quao or Vinh Tuy, Go Quao and for Province: Kien Giang

Hope that helps.

We put it XA ABC, HUYEN DEF, TINH GHJ. Mails came safe and sound.

We don't even care about City/Town, Province... They are not applicable for Vietnam.

Right, but he is talking about how to put those in a english form or application.  He's not talking about sending mail.  If he's submitting an application and it asks for city/town or province, the people in charge of putting the information in the computer would not put Xa, Huyen or Tinh.

No problem, D&L. Glad to be able to help. I would not sweat it too much. Worst case scenario, you would not get the Packet 3 in the mail, but that can be emailed to you if you fill out an online inquiry form on the consulate website. My wife never got hers and they emailed it to me.

And, yes, #29.a thru f would be the same address, however way you want to put in #3.a thru 3.i.
