I only really knew one of the parties, I was doing the school run and her daughter was in the same class. As far as she was concerned it was real and I believe she thought that, now the comments made by the other Mum's would make your hair curl.

That's useful information for someone contemplating embarking on a visa petition for a marriage as part of a threesome.  I guess the most important question is how open will USICS staff be to disavowing others' and their own prejudice? I imagine it would be the luck of the draw, as there is no official policy that I know of on the subject.  Of course, in a conservative community you would get neighbors saying ugly things about a same-sex couple, or even a mixed race couple, so I imagine they have to adjust for bias quite a bit.
