Hi all.

Brand new on here and would appreciate a bit of advice!

I am from UK, entered US on a K-1 on 16 Aug 16, and married on 18 Aug 16.

Applied immediately for a green card using i-485 & requested i-131 at the same time

Receipt for both 07 Sept 2016

Biometrics completed 29 Sept 2016. When I enter my number, all I get is:

On September 7, 2016, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCxxxxxx. Our National Benefits Center location is working on your case. etc etc.

I can find processing times for many offices here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aosstats.php?history=90

But nothing for NBC Missouri

If anyone can point me in the right direction, or let me know if my waiting period is within the norm, I would be very grateful.

Thank you!

I don't think you can find that info as it's usually the field offices that handle i-485 cases. I know some cases never leave NBC but they never show any processing times for that. So it's a bit of a mission impossible to find that out, sorry.

Somebody posted a thread for those "stuck" with the "fingerprint fee" status.

Since your I-485 has been pending for more than 6 months, you can make a service request through the online form - choose the option "Case outside normal processing time". Sometimes the answers are totally generic and unhelpful, sometimes you get some info. In my case, they answered my service request with an approval.

I am sorry to hear that and I understand how it feels. It depends upon the case and where you resides? Our AOS was also submitted to NBC office in December, 2016 and we just got a interview letter last week . I would go for service request or possibly made a info pass in local USICS office to know abt the status of your case. Possible ask your congressman to intervene that might help in expedition.

Good luck!

They are processing August filers now so hopefully it'll be you soon.

Could you let me know where to find that information Georgia16 ? Thanks!

It's really difficult to give a time frame as adjusting from a K1 visa can take up to a year and some people have theirs in three months; some in six. It's a little mess.

Well, I submitted a service request on March 16, and got the following response:

"Thank you for your request:

Expect a reply by April 7, 2017
Your request ID number is xxxxxxxx"

It is now April 8th and..........................

Since my service request is now a "Case outside normal processing time"

Do you think I should submit a service request about my service request? !

You can't put in a SR about a pending SR. Your case is not outside normal processing times even.
