Hi!

So, in the past i already lived in US 3 times because I was working with a J visa and a Q visa.

I do have a SSN, but its just valid with a work authorization.

I will move soon to marry my fiancee (I will go with the K1 visa).

Do I have to go and make a new SSN when I arrived to US? Is it faster bc I already have one?

Once you have an SSN it's yours for life, even if you leave the US. My husband was issued on in the 1990s when he was a student, as he needed one to lease an apartment, open a bank account, etc. When he moved back last year (via K-1) he's been able to use the same one no problem...in fact we were told by our lawyer not to file for a new one. As far as speeding things up, no it hasn't had that effect in any step of this process.

Same SSN! I was a J1 for 2 years then I went to the office in December when we married and it's the same card, same work authorization statement on it, just a different name. If you're changing your name you just need to take marriage certificate and some other proof of ID along with address and you'll be good to go!

Not having to file for ssn in my case... would have sped things up. Took 8 weeks to receive.

Figure out what? You have a SSN that you can use for pretty much anything except working. You'll need an EAD to be allowed to work and that you will apply for once you're married and you file for adjustment of status.

Agreed with Mallafri, nothing really to figure out. Having the SSN already just means one less thing to do after you're married, and will help you open a bank account, sign a lease, etc. faster if you need to. It won't speed up your K-1, AOS, or EAD processes, though.
