Hi, I'm sure this type of question is annoying, but any thoughts on the current time between when USCIS receives an I-485 packet and when they would acknowledge receipt with the G-1145 eMail and cashing the check.  Sent a packet USPS with tracking showing it was delivered 3/1 and now it is 3/15 with neither an email or check cashed.  Should I wait some more, or make an attempt to contact them as to status?  I'm perfectly accepting of the fact that the US government is slow and inefficient, but my wife is getting a bit impatient.  I think what I saw on this board was something like 1 week to 1 month to acknowledge receipt, with the average being around 10 days.  Are processing times going up with Trump's meddling?  Thanks.

Don't worry. There seems to be a big backlog in Chicago so some people have had to wait a little longer than usual for their NOA's. I know the wait can be tough, but as long as you have delivery confirmation I wouldn't worry about it. Someone in the March AOS thread had to wait over 3 weeks. Feel free to join us all there.

Best of luck.
