We first got the email and now finally the letter in the mail with our receipt number, but when I go to the uscis.gov site and put it in it says its not on their system.

Has anyone encountered this before? I set up a profile already and have tried to add the receipt number multiple times to no avail...

I'm not sure if this means something or if I'm just overreacting.

sometimes they work right off the bat, other times, it takes months for them to populate them into the system. It's really a hit and miss. All you can do is keep checking every few days to see if they finally populate but it doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with your petition at all. You'll find several users on here that had the same issues with the online system.

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
