My parents immigration visa is pending admin processing at the Yerevan, Armenia embassy. We have noticed that after the travel ban fiasco there has been little to no new visas being posted on their website even though the ban is still not in effect. Has anybody else seen admin processing cases being posted slow down in Armenia or in any other US embassy?

How long have they been in AP? Going through AP is not unusual.

I see your profile's country is Iran...are they Iranian citizens (and just going through the Armenian embassy)? If so, that could be an issue given the EO going into effect Thursday.

Yes, they are Iranian citizens but the EO should not be in effect till Thursday and we are hoping one of the federal courts will again halt the ban before the EO is in effect. Having said that, last month when the old EO was halted the admin processing cases were slowed down significantly. Prior to the old EO we would see 8-10 cases being posted on the Yerevan embassy website each week, but now we have only seen 1-2 in the last month alone. I am trying to see if others have seen the same slow down in admin processing cases and if there is anything that can be done to expedite.

I know AP is not unusual, particularly for Iranians. They have been in AP since Oct 2016. Thanks!

Thanks. I've heard longer than 5 months for AP as well. My concern is that the Yerevan embassy has halted the admin processing for all immigrant visas prior to the EO. I have checked on a daily basis and know that prior to the EO many more AP cases were posted online and now it is slim to no cases.

My parents are in AP process since July 2016 and we haven't heard back from embassy , every time i try contacting an embassy they just copy and paste a template that indicates a lengthy process and they claim that they have no control over the time frame.

Unfortunately nothing yet , as i stated in my original post they went to interview July 2016 , next month would be one year but still getting a run around from them.

I think there is something that they don't want to share with us , Maybe travel ban put all the cases from 6 different county on hold until further notice.
