Hi im planing to fill form n 400 and as I'm working in survey companies I get info that I should list it as self employement and write my own address in the mailing address but still have one more question at the day of the interview they usually ask of the name of the employer and the name of the company I'm working what will Be the question probably in my case since I'm working online

how do you file your taxes ? based on a W2 from a specific employer or as a self employed ?

  • sending I130 05/16/2007
  • cheque is cashed on 06/11/2007
  • NOA1 in mail 06/13/2007 (who said 13 is badluck )
  • 07/30/2007 After no touches and no other signs we just got an email with the APPROVAL of I130....Thank God !....now what ?

  • 08/07/2007 Case received by NVC and case number assigned :))

  • 08/13/2007 DS3032 and AOS bill were generated

  • 08/14/2007 Emailed choice of agent ...i'm so curious when they will accept it...hopefully soon

  • 08/21/2007 DS3032 and AOS fee bill arive in mail

  • 08/27/2007 paid AOS fee bill
  • 8/28/2007 DS3032 choice of agent accepted
  • 9/3/2007 IV fee bill generated

if you file as self employed, then the companies you work with are your customers, if you get a W2 from them, then they are your employer.

I didn't receive any form since I didn't make income above 600 dollars a year it s just completing survey but I report it in schedule c as hobby since I'm filling jointly tax with my husband . But I should write it in form n 400 so im my case what question probably can I be asked ?

You can apply up to 90 days before 27June 2017, say for example april 1st week.

2015-09-23: NVC received file

2015-10-05: NVC assigned Case number, Invoice ID & Beneficiary ID

2016-06-30: DS-261 completed, AOS Fee Paid, WL received

Yes , but I'm confused I was told that my husband should complete 3 years as citizen that will be 27 June 2017 at that time I can considered as married with us citizen and apply for citizenship ? Should I wait until 1 July 2017 or before ?

Yes, you should. The "married to a USC for 3 years" part does NOT have a minus 90-day exception. Only the "be a LPR for 3 years" part does.

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
