NOA2 expiration date

I know there is a post about this a year or two ago but does anyone know what the chances are of being denied at the port of entry if you enter after the NOA2 expiration date? Or anyone that recently got denied because their NOA2 was expired? Is it a big deal to try to enter before it expires?

Consulate will extend it reasonably on visa printout, forget about NOA2

Hi. The NOA2 date is irrelevant to port of entry. I believe the NOA2 expiration date refers to the final date by when the medical/interview should be completed. Port of entry travel shall not exceed the expiration date on k1 visa itself (once it is approved).

The NOA2 date belongs to the i-129f petition. The K-1 visa has its own expiration date, normally 6 months from the date of the medical.

 

A K-1 visa and an i-129f petition are two different things.
