Got call from Department of Homeland Security

another strange thing happened with me i have never read abt this before in this form. today afternoon i got call from Department of Homeland Security but i was not at home so she left the message. i m worried now y i got call from department of homeland security.

Could be a call to verify your living arrangements, phone number etc.

danggg that sounds not too good for u... me too i got some suspsicious calls from some weird fone #... im guessing it might be INS... they call and then they hang up the phone... BUT mine could just be a dumb telemarketer as well...

u must be living in some small town or a state like Iowa or ND or Nebraska or something where they do these kind of things.

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? They can call anyone who lives anywhere. BTW, it's not the INS anymore....it's USCIS and I seriously doubt if they are calling you that they would call and hang up.

DOS called me last year and CIA visited my husbands house 2 times in the 1st year of the admin process.

everyone on AP/AR in islamabad gets a random visit from the CIA.

It was from 202-282-8000 and she just said that she is calling from Department of homeland security immigaration and than this mesaage for (my name). than when i got back home i tried to call back but office was close.

According to Reverse White Pages that number belongs to DHS....

wait a tick. The CIA visited you in the US. Did you check the ID's?

They have no authority in the US, which is the reason for my inquiry.

OK, just reread your post, it was out of the country they visited.
