I read through some of the old topics on here but I am still a bit confused about providing letters from friends as proof of our relationship for the removal of conditions. I went through the K1 route.

I moved around a few times so I don't have friends where I am currently who have known me for the whole length of our relationship. If I do go the friend route I would have to ask one of our friends to write, notarized, and then mail us these letters. To that end a few questions...

1- Can the letters be from family members? It seems like family members are more likely to go through this whole ordeal.

2- Does the letter have to be from a US citizen?

3- Do they have to be notarized?

Thank you! Yes my husband is from England, and we have a better relationship with his family. I read the instructions as stating that we have to get 2 affidavits. If family is allowed then I can ask my family to do so. We've moved 3 times since my husband got to America because of my job which makes it difficult to find someone who has known us throughout.
