VISA ON HOLD SPOUCE DOMICILE CHANGE PLEASE HELP

Hi i need some serious help. If anybody has some advice or suggestion. Im 28 years old. Lived in texas 12 years. Im living here in a house with my mom dad and sister. I got married to my first cousin in pakistan 5 years ago. My wife just had her interview at the pakistan American embassy two days ago. Everything was fine on her side and information except mine. It says i need a change of domicile (location) and move to a state that recognizes first cousin marriage. So right now the visa is on hold until i move to another state and send my leasing documents etc. My question is that is this the only way i can bring here here? 

If so how long should i live in the new state before re-submit ing my my new residence address? Can i live with a relative?can i come back to texas? Would greatly appreciate it

Im thinking about residing in Massachusetts (since first cousin marriage is recognized) for a monfh or so, get an apartment there and work and send the required lease papers to embassy to prove my domicile change.  Any idea if 3 weeks is enough time to send the lease papers for domicile change?

Im just nervous that what if i do all this hard work going to Massachusetts, renting, apt etc and they still deny the visa. Although the embassy just needed lease papers and work proof. But still nervous. If anyone has any ideas or anything i would be pretty thankful because i dont really know if im taking the right step

Any update to your situation?  I'm going through a similar issue where my wife will have her interview soon and based on first cousin problems.. I live in TX.  If you could let me know how your issue went..
