Filed AOS and EAD/Travel Card Dec. 2016

Hello all,

 

Just wanted to let everyone know that we filed our AOS Package before Christmas 2016 and have green card in hand on 3/17.

You filed AOS in Dec 2016 and GC is approved already?! That was fast. Miracles happen I guess!   Congratz! 

BTW, your profile says you filed for Naturalization. Is that correct?

I'm already Naturalized.  I really wouldn't call it a miracle.....just make sure you follow the directions and do the paper work correctly and when they make a mistake follow up ASAP.  Should not have a problem.

I did not know they were approving AOS so fast. I remember mine took more than 1 year! So consider yourself lucky.

You adjusted from a K-1? There's another K-1er in the AOS December filers thread who got her greencard already too, and a few with interview dates this/next month.

I don't think I've heard about fast approvals other than for K-1 people, as we already had interviews in our home countries they sometimes go easier on us when we AOS. Many don't need an interview at all, so that helps.

As in our case our interview was waivered.  So no interview.  No EAD or Travel card, just sent us the Green Card very fast.
