hi buttonz,

thanks for sharing your interview experience.

Quick questions regarding name changing, I also request to change name but my interview letter did not require me to bring 2 passport photos to interview date at all.

I read that name change request will delay Oath schedule from 1 to 3 months, but yours was not the case, do you know why?

Hello! Love your username by the way!

I really have no clue why. I believe I was fortunate to have a judicial ceremony available for me to attend early???!. I’m not sure if the ceremonies offered here (LA AND ANAHEIM) are all judicial? Or if there are a few civic ones too???

As you mentioned, my oath letter didn’t specify if I needed to bring pictures either. However I read it on another forum that they ask for photos on the day of the interview. So I brought them with me just in case. I rather over prepare than having to get an RFI or something.  My thought was, ok, I’ll need them for passport anyway so might as well do it beforehand. Costco has passport picture service that are cheap. :)

All LA ceremonies are judicial.

As you mentioned, having two photographs is always good. If they are not required, you can use them for your passport.

Come on, Los Angeles. Im not seeing moviments in July In Los Angeles Office. Its soooo slow! I've checked the forum in january and the applicants in Los Angeles were approved, but they didnt start process February 2018 yet. Im curious to know if people dont come back here to update or if its real and they didnt start process february 2018 yet.
There is somebody who can confirm it or clarify they didnt start february 2018 yet?

Im N-400 April 2018 filler under 3 years rule with  I-751(April 2017) still pending.

It depends on many factors I guess, I'm an October 2017 filer and they didn't schedule my interview yet.

OMG!!! This is ridiculus. Sorry for the personal question, but there is a known reason for this delay ?

No reasons, I called them many times and they always say I need to wait until there is a spot for me to be scheduled for interview.

That's driving me crazy.

Im sorry and sad to hear it. I was expecting have my process done in max 2 months as january fillers already got their interview and Oath. Looks like it doesnt follow a logic timeline.

With the new online process do you still get the “in line for interview” notification after biometrics or do you now just get your interview notification?

I’ve heard nothing since I went in for biometrics in March

thanks

Hi,
I applied online and didnt get any "in line for interview" notification. I think next step is to get the interview notification with the date.

Hi guys,

Thank you all for your support on this site over this very challenging time. I passed my citizenship interview on Monday July 23rd. It was quick. I was having a pending ROC, which was also approved same day. Went with my wife and 2 year old daughter. The officer called me in gave a genuine smile to my daughter. When I got into the room for the interview, he asked if that was my wife and daughter that were with me. The questions were easy. 1. Who is the governor of your state? Name two US holidays etc.

Now I am waiting for a letter for my oath ceremony. I was put into inline for oath ceremony yesterday. They said I should be getting a letter for the oath in two to four weeks.

However, I requested my interviewer to sign me up for an oath ceremony that is happening in two weeks time in my city, of which he agreed that he will put in a request for that, though, there is no guarantee that it will be granted. Basically told him that my family is in town, and should be out of town soon, in two weeks. Fingers crossed, I am praying I have that oath ceremony happen at the requested time.

I appreciate it guys, all the support.

Cant wait to swear in and apply for my US passport.
