A few questions:

1. Is it acceptable to send photocopies of official documents?  Or are they looking for raised seal documents (e.g. birth cert, marriage cert, divorce decree, etc)?

2. Would USCIS accept signatures established through an app like docusign?

2.a. or would a scanned signature be acceptable?

3. Is it acceptable to print a passport-style photo that has been sent electronically?

4. Are photocopies of airline tickets acceptable for evidence of contact?

5. Must the 134 doc accompany the 129F and 325's?

Sorry for the list and probably some simple questions. We are just getting started and I am intimidated by the thought of sending an "imperfect" filing.

Thanks

1. Is it acceptable to send photocopies of official documents?  Or are they looking for raised seal documents (e.g. birth cert, marriage cert, divorce decree, etc)? Would use originals with seals or 'official'/certified copies

2. Would USCIS accept signatures established through an app like docusign? Signatures from the USC should be 'wet' originals. Beneficiaries can print, sign and scan documents and email them back. Wouldn't use like a signature program.

2.a. or would a scanned signature be acceptable?

3. Is it acceptable to print a passport-style photo that has been sent electronically? If you can manage to get them to be the 2x2 size and high quality on real photo paper sure guess why not. If you can't then would suggest getting originals done.

4. Are photocopies of airline tickets acceptable for evidence of contact? Thats what we used, our itinerary. Use your passport with showing the entry/exit stamps also. Any sort of receipts or credit card statements showing purchases done there during that time frame would be also great stuff.

5. Must the 134 doc accompany the 129F and 325's? No, the I-134 form is supplied at the interview stage later on with all financial documentation, not during the I-129f phase.

@Ben&Zian provide a great explanation. Just to add to it:

  1. Originals are always preferred. However, you may not receive back any documents you send them. So for a birth certificate, a copy is probably best (and a copy is acceptable). As for a divorce decree, any official copy should be sufficient.
  2. Legally, it should be fine. But it's not an issue worth fighting them over...just print and sign it by hand. The beneficiary can print, sign, scan, and send it to you to print it.
  3. I had to do that for my fiance because her passport photos were not US-sized. I printed them at 2"x2" and verified that they met the other requirements, then cut them by hand. Just like any passport photo, DIY is possible (but they are pretty strict for passport photo guidelines in my experience). Originals are definitely an easier process.
  4. [Covered in the above comments and guide]
  5. The I-134 is needed for the interview, not the I-129F. The G-325As (one from you and one from your fiance) are needed with the I-129F.
