Hello everyone,

We had our interview in San Antonio yesterday, it was a breeze! I submitted a detailed review here: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/view-dos-cis-reviews.php?entry=22802

We were told we would be recommended for approval, now waiting on some sort of official notification (and, of course, the green card)

Good luck to everyone still waiting! The end of the line is near :)

Timeline

Just got the notification by USPS that there is a package shipping from USCIS center in Corbin, KY.

I intercepted the package and had it redirected for hold to a post office near work, because we are moving to a new address this Friday, and even though I have submitted the address change to USCIS.gov, both the NOA for acceptance (received) and the green card are heading to the current address which will only be active for a couple of days.

Since USPS is barred from forwarding government mail (so the generic mail forwarding wouldn't include the green card) I thought that intercepting the package and redirecting it to a post office (I had to pay $6.84 to usps.com) was the best idea. I can't stress enough how helpful the account at usps.com has been, including "Informed Delivery" (with photo snapshots of mail to be delivered, when available)

Once again there is a delay getting our physical card.  Interview date was September 27 and was approved. Received a letter of approval in the mail the following week.  However we still have not received the actual green card.  We had a problem with the EAD card as well. We received the approval letter in May, but the card did not come until July!  No explanation as to why.  Anyone else in the same boat?

..i hope we won't be! we didn't apply for ap/ead cuz i saw everyone getting hit with delays and my parents planned on supporting us until we got the actual gc anyway so i figured it wasn't worth the extra stress. best of luck to you, i know this is a busy time of year.. but i know personally if we haven't received the gc going into the top of 2018 we're definitely gonna get an infopass or contact one of our representatives to push the process along

happy thanksgiving everyone!! <3

We got the card yesterday, the 24th! Still no clue as to why it took 2 months.

Hi! Congratulations!
Did it take 1 month to get the approval notice?
I had my interview with my hubby last Wednesday and no decision was made, she told me I would get any notification or decision between 30 and 45 days, she gave us a sheet.
I'm very sad cause we were expecting to be approved on spot. :(

thanks so much! eh, from what i had read here i wasn't expecting to get approved on the spot considering we don't have a kid (yet lol) and had not even been married one year at the time of our interview. so i wasn't too fussed about it. our approval came by total surprise 22 days later (from my sig.. 26 oct to 17 nov) it might take a lil longer cuz of the holiday season but if you didnt have a bad interview then you shouldnt have anything to worry about really

On Monday I received approval for the forms I-130 and today I received a request for evidence asking me to receive the flu vaccine cause apparently it was not on my medical exams.

I'm a little bit disappointed but I hope I'm close to my approval.
