AOS not yet receive NOA

Dear Forums,

 

My wife (K1 visa) filed for AOS on Feb 17, 2017 via USPS certified mail (Chicago, IL Lockbox).

The postal return receipt shows USCIS received the package on Feb 23, 2017.

Until today March 10, 2017 we haven't received the NOA via email or postal yet.

The check we sent with the package was still not cashed.

I called National Customer Service Center at 800-375-5283 and they said an immigration officer will call back, the wait time is 4 hours.

Now I'm still waiting for the call.

 

Did anyone have to wait this long for the NOA?

Is there any potential problem I may have to deal with?

i filed on feb19th i called them they said wait till 10th march but still my check didn't cashed worried too

Hi MSmalhi01,

 

I've just talked to the immigration office over the phone (they called me) finally.  But they would not release any information to me because my wife is not next to me (suck).

This morning I was with my wife and they placed me on a 4 hours waiting in line.  Now I'm at work and wife is not with me.  They told me to call and set up the phone appointment again (suck).

 

Anyway they told me I should wait up to 1 month (that is March 23) from the day the package arrived at USCIS (that is Feb 23) to check with them.  They also told me keep checking the bank account to see if the check is cashed (this is what I'm doing a few times a day anyway).

 

Thanks for your response msmalhi01.  At least it makes me feel a little less worry.
